The Divine Artist: Art for God's Sake

I love this book, by Stephen Bennett, so much that I have it in paperback and on audio.  I am listening to it for about the fifth time, right now.  It is an encouragement to me that God has given me the ability and the desire to be an artist, but it also guides me into how to pursue my art without losing sight of the reason that I exist:  glorifying God and enjoying Him forever.

Of course, there are things that I do not agree with in any book, including this one, but I so much agree with the overarching premise of the book, that God created, that God created art, that God is the Divine Artist and the First Artist, that WE are art, that we are artists created in the image of the Divine Artist, and that it is all about HIM!  Beauty is important, God is beautiful, God's creation is beautiful, we are God's creation, we are beautiful, we are created in His image and should reflect His beauty in ourselves, our lives, our homes, and our art.  Oh, I could go on and on.

I really think that every Christian ought to read this.  (Of course, I do...  LOL!)
